Appreciate your efforts to bring reason to a tragic situation. With the monsters in charge prospects of something resembling a fair outcome are remote (as noted). Perhaps continuing to keep two-states as an option is worth mentioning - so much would have to change/be reversed it's hard to see that happening.

Of course, with Bibi and Trump as two of the most corrupt and morally bankrupt world leaders, none of this is likely to happen. The world doesn't trust or believe the promises of either of them, for obvious reasons. And...we can't afford to wait for new upstanding leaders. I'm at a loss to figure out what, if anything, can be done to aid the Palestinians in creating their own home, instead of being overrun either by the evil of Hamas or the evil of the Netanyahu regime. I write this with profound sadness, and with righteous anger toward current regimes of the U.S. and Israel.

I can't find much hope for a two state solution in Israel. I'm afraid that ship has sailed. But if there is any hope, I think it will have to come from the U.S. using the only real leverage we have: the $8.5 billion we give Israel annually. I think it's time to make that money contingent on not just halting all new settlements on the West Bank, but pulling all the current settlers out. Without the West Bank and Gaza as a Palestinian state, what hope can there be for "a two-state solution?"
