This week on Word on the Street Live, we sat down for a special briefing to unpack a whirlwind week at the UN – starting with Netanyahu’s speech just hours ago.
J Street is REALLY pro-Israel, which is not the same thing as being pro-Netanyahu. Israel will have peace and security when it is on acceptable terms with all its neighbors. Bombing everyone within range is getting the country nowhere, fast.
Odd comments from Arrr Bee, which sounds dangerously like right wing Christian and possibly Christian Nationalist ideology. These groups have long fomented discord in the region... gargantuan tourist dollars aside, these people should be completely banned from travelling to Israel, because their only true goal is to create the circumstances in the "holy" lands that would lead to Armageddon and the return of the Messiah, according to their beliefs.
But even they don't believe it, because their own doctrine states quite clearly that "no one will know the time" (or to that effect) which means they can't make it happen, and if it happens it will be of a completely different nature than they expect, being human beings, not g-d.
For the present dialogue SD is quite correct.
If members of the UN turn their backs on Israel, it's not because they support terrorism, or that they are anti-Semitic or anti Israel.... it's because what's going on is being mismanaged by a an incompetent Prime Minister who can't control his government, and has only created this mess to prevent his eventual sentencing an possible jail time for other crimes.
What is happening across Israel is some outlandish idea that g-d and gun will provide while right wing settlers and greedy land developers perpetrate pogroms (yes pogroms) against their Arab / Palestinian neighbors.
Dare we add Mr Trump, who once eyed Gaza as a "resort?"
Is that how the President of the USA acts? Like a realtor sporting the Kelley Green known far and wide in the 70's and 80's as "I am a realtor?"
The man can't put together a complete sentence in the English Language without help, and even then... but he can leverage money, "deals" etc...
Which, truly and sadly, I have to admit, is what politics is really all about.
Mr Netanyahu has completely fuck*d up, sold out, and the Don is waiting in the sidelines ready to make a deal and take possession of something that the creature has no business possessing.
It's called Israel.
Beyond Mr Netanyahu's weaknesses, now that the Don, twice impeached, and a convicted felon Trump has been allowed to rise again... authoritarians' and their religious supporters often make that happen... like we know he's in the files... probably some Dems too... a perv is a perv no matter how "small..." Or rich.

Add this also, Col. Douglas Magreggor says it as it is! Has been for some time!

The two-state solution is very popular everywhere in the world except the two places that matter most--Israel and Palestine.
